ABOUT US

Brett has been working on construction projects since he was 10 when he helped to lay the stone on the chimney at his childhood home. During high school he worked with a handful of contractors and had the opportunity to help dismantle and rebuild a log home among many other projects.
Upon graduating from High School Brett decided to attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he majored in Industrial Technology. He continued to work for a construction company during the summers and breaks and realized soon after earning his degree that his true passion was designing and building. It was then that he started Adkins Construction.

His ability to listen to his clients needs and wants and then turn those thoughts into a beautiful piece of furniture, a new room, or an entire home is what has made Brett such a sought after craftsman and builder by both individuals and businesses for so many years. Add in his attention to detail and commitment to perfection and you have a contractor that you will want to keep forever.

THE TEAM

In the past, Brett has completed most of the work he has been hired to do by himself and sometimes with a few other laborers.  But now it is becoming a family business with Brett’s sons Collin, Dylan, and Garrett joining the team.  Collin has recently graduated from college and is now working with Brett full time. He has years of experience on the job with Brett and also with his own custom woodworking projects. Dylan graduated in May 2023 with a Construction Management degree and worked for one of his professors as lead for construction projects while also taking classes giving him more experience to come back and work full time with his father and brother. Garrett completed his Electrical program at Ehove in May 2023 and works part time when he is home from Ohio University.
